About The Artist
Miranda Leigh Lambert was born on November 10, 1983, in Longview, Texas, and raised in nearby Lindale by parents Rick and Bev Lambert. Her father, a former police officer and guitarist, and her mother ran a private-investigation agency — and Lambert’s early exposure to country-music greats like Merle Haggard and Guy Clark helped shape her creative roots. She started performing professionally in her teens, releasing an independent self-titled album in 2001, and in 2003 she earned third place on the TV talent show Nashville Star, which led to her signing with Epic Records.
From her 2005 breakthrough album Kerosene to later releases like Platinum (2014) and Wildcard (2019), Lambert has carved a distinctive place in country music with raw honesty, strong songwriting and a blend of fiery and introspective songs. Along the way, she formed the trio Pistol Annies (with Ashley Monroe and Angaleena Presley) in 2011, further expanding her creative footprint. Over her career she has received numerous accolades, becoming one of the genre’s most decorated artists.
Beyond music, Lambert has shown a strong commitment to advocacy and entrepreneurship. She co-founded the animal-rescue charity MuttNation Foundation, runs her own boutique and wine ventures, and remains a voice for authenticity in her art and public persona. Her journey spans from small-town Texas stages to international tours, and she continues to evolve as both artist and individual, always rooted in her country-music roots and personal convictions.
